Come join a New Canaan tradition at the 46th Annual Easter Egg Hunt!
This magical experience takes place on the historic property and sprawling grounds of Waveny Park. On Saturday, April 6th, children will hunt for the over 10,000 eggs and enjoy live entertainment, bounce houses, bunny ears, face painting, photo opportunities with Mr. & Mrs. Bunny and lots and lots of cupcakes! The event begins at 9:00am and hunt is at 10:15.
In the event of inclement weather the Easter Egg Hunt will take place the next day at New Canaan High School during the same time.

Waveny House will have a special visit from the Easter Bunny for a meet-and-greet with children. Events will include face painting, bunny meet-and-greet, and coloring for children. Breakfast snacks will be served for parents and children. Each child will receive a gift from the Easter Bunny. One adult must accompany each family of children registered. The event is open to New Canaan Residents only. Parents- don’t forget to bring a camera. Registration will begin on February 1 both online and at the Recreation Department Office.
Children and parents must register – $7 per person, seating is limited.

Expressive Easter Eggs Workshop @ Silvermine

In this workshop you will explore a range of materials to make a colorful and unique hanging Easter egg-themed garland! Materials will include coffee filters, markers, paint, cardboard hearts, watercolor, collage, doilies, fabric, and more. Each student will create 8-10 small Easter eggs using various materials and art processes which will then be attached to colorful ribbon to hang up in your home! The school will provide all materials. Students should bring a light nut-free snack.

RCA Easter Egg Hunt

Location: Rowayton Community Center
Hop on over to the Community Center, rain or shine, to meet the Easter Bunny and participate in RCA’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. Parents, please drop off six plastic eggs filled with candy, snacks or coins for each participating child to Paul Curtin at 11 Burchard Lane on Friday, April 12 between 12 noon and 8:00pm. Eggs may also be dropped off at the Community Center field before 9:30am on the day of the hunt.

Forest Easter Egg Adventure (Ages 2 & up) @ SM&NC

Join SM&NC for an Easter Egg Adventure this year on their Wheels in the Woods trail. A maximum of 25 kids per session ensures a fun, safe event for all!
They will start with the hunt on their trails where kids can gather eggs in the woods, then head to the Overbrook Nature Center, where the kids will get to meet some live animals and create a great craft! This year, instead of goody bags, kids will turn in their found eggs for a prize of their choosing, such as activity kits, stuffed animals, or books! Program will run rain or shine (rain plan will be in Great Hall). Register early! This sold out last year!

The Great Egg Hunt & Spring Celebration @ NCNC

Perfect for children, ages 2-10, our egg hunts are designed for smaller groups (approximately 25 per hunt) and, in addition to the hunt, include an egg & spoon obstacle course and meet & greet with our baby chicks & bunny rabbits. Just BYOB (bring your own basket) for collecting eggs (which contain nature-themed prizes and nut-free sweets).

Gather your Easter baskets and come out for an Easter Egg Hunt on the front lawn of the DCA! This annual event is a great way for children to get into the spirit of the holiday, and to meet many new friends. Please come early, as the Easter Egg Hunt starts at 10:00 am sharp and takes only a few minutes. A special appearance by the Easter Bunny makes this a wonderful morning so make sure to bring your camera.
Special price: $20 per car
In the event of inclement weather, a cancellation of the egg hunt will be announced on the DCA website, e-blast and voicemail greeting that morning.

Each hunt will be limited to 50 children and they only have to find FIVE eggs to get a prize. First come, first serve. Don’t forget your basket!
