MTC presents Sunset Boulevard

Performances through October 2. Music Theatre of Connecticut opens their 36th MainStage season with this Tony Award-winning musical based on the Billy Wilder film, featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and book and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton. Sunset Boulevard introduces audiences to silent movie star Norma Desmond who longs for a return to the big screen when she meets struggling Hollywood screenwriter Joe Gillis in dramatic circumstances. It includes the lush, swelling songs “With One Look,” “As If We Never Said Goodbye” and “Perfect Year.” Performances are on Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays & Sundays at 2:00 p.m. MTC MainStage is located at 509 Westport Ave.
