July 4, 2018
Rowayton Fireworks will light up the sky offshore from Bayley Beach Wednesday evening, July 4. The fireworks, sponsored by the RCA, will be launched from a barge beginning at 9:15 pm. The performance will last approximately 30 minutes.
Parking and Traffic:
Access to parking at Bayley Beach will be according to daytime rules. For Bayley Beach rules and regulations, visit the Sixth Taxing District’s website.
Vehicles with a Bayley Beach sticker will be admitted.
A $40 Special Event Parking Fee will be charged to non-residents.
Residents will need to bring their beach walk in passes to avoid being charged.
It is strongly recommended that you walk to the fireworks and Summer Music Festival. There will be less parking at the beach this year since parking is no longer allowed on the baseball field. All overflow parking will be located at Rowayton School.
For fire safety issues, street parking is not allowed in the vicinity of Bayley Beach. Please observe all parking rules as to not jeopardize future 4th of July events. This has happened in the past and Rowayton was unable to have fireworks for 5 years.
A drop off lane will be offered at the guard shack as you enter Bayley Beach. Drop off your passengers, coolers and other goods and then proceed to park at Rowayton School.
To help fund the Fireworks, generous contributions have been made by the Sixth Taxing District, Wee Burn, Roton Point, the Tokeneke Club, the Belle Island Association, the Rowayton Beach Association and the Pine Point Association.
