What adjustments have you made during quarantine and for your reopening?
Our spa, hair and beauty professionals have all taken an online Salon & Spa Sanitization Certification class while in quarantine and are very well prepared for when our doors reopen. We will also put into place the use of gloves and masks for our staff and clients, as well as special distancing between one client and another. Lastly, once we reopen, we will adhere to all requirements as to the amount of staff and clients in our salon and spa at any given time, as well as adhering to any other recommendations from the state or federal governments and health organizations.

How can the community support your business?
We would love for clients to post a positive review online, follow us on Facebook and Instagram and to wait for us to reopen on 5/20. They can call us if they need anything at 203-656-5656 or visit our website at www.andrewstefanousalonandspa.com

What are your favorite products? Any new products available?
Kérastase and Davines make amazing hair care products so a weekly hair mask at home from either one would add much-needed moisture to hair and keep it in good condition. Blondes should maintain their color with Blonde Absolu from Kérastase. This line is formulated for blondes to keep brassiness away as well as provide special conditioning. Both hair care lines make a great dry shampoo for when clients don’t wash their hair, but they need to refresh for those online Zoom meetings or even for virtual happy hours! Our phone is being answered so if any clients have a question, need advice or want to pick up products, we are here for them. The newest line of hair care would be Davines from Italy.  This line is wildly popular because the products work, nourish the hair with ingredients from natural origin and come in sustainable packaging. Great for our clients’ hair and the environment! We also recommend that clients don’t forget about skincare during this time.  We offer SkinCeuticals, Dr. Dennis Gross and Cinq Mondes from Paris, all of which are some of the best skincare lines the industry offers.

What inspirational or positive experiences have come out of this situation?
We know how difficult this has been for everyone, but we always try to be positive. We have seen so much good in all of this. The sense of community here in Darien and the surrounding area is just amazing. Businesses are helping one another and also giving back to healthcare workers, other essential workers and the underprivileged who are in great need right now. We feel so blessed to have such a loyal and caring clientele and are so appreciative and grateful for each one of them! We see from all this how much we all need one another. We all need that sense of connection to others and the community, and if anything, this has brought all of us closer together. We have always been about renewing the mind, body and soul, and this situation has shown all of us more than ever, that we need human connection to keep all three of those in harmony!
