Aimee Elsner is the co-owner of Connecticut Power Yoga with her husband Tim, she is the mother of two amazing boys 10 years old and 8 years old, a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and Certified Baptiste Power Yoga instructor, Occupational Therapist, Plant-Based Educator, and brand ambassador for Africa Yoga Project, lululemon Greenwich and Amrita Bars. Aimee mentors a man from Nairobi, Kenya who is training to be a yoga teacher as part of the Africa Yoga Project.
Seven years ago she was diagnosed with Stage 2-B estrogen positive breast cancer. One year later, 4 months of chemotherapy, 30 days of radiation, and 3 surgeries she was set free onto her own to feet to pick up all the pieces.
Yoga played a huge role in her recovery and has since been inspired to share her practices on how to let go and live a happy healthy lifestyle.
Aimee and her husband Tim discovered Baptiste Power Yoga through their journey back to everyday life, health and wellness. It impacted the way in which they looked at their life, the way they looked at the world and the way they wanted to impact it.
Baptiste Power Yoga is based on three principles, Asana (physical practice of yoga), meditation, and self- inquiry. Through using these techniques they discovered their dream to build a community of like-minded people who where up to big things in their lives.
You can catch them and their boys, at Connecticut Power Yoga either teaching classes, behind the desk or on their mats.
