Hi fellow moms! My name is Stephanie and I am a born and raised New Canaanite. My husband and I have two boys, Luca and Brody, two and one and we love spending time walking around town with them and our two dogs. I am an elementary school teacher by trade but a photographer at heart!
Living in town for 30 years, I have seen many places come and go. My favorite family friendly go-to’s these days are The Apple Cart in Mead Park, Gelatissimo, and Cherry Street East for a burger (and it’s where I met my husband!). I remember living on Richmond Hill and walking through Mead when Connie and her blue food truck was the best place to grab a hot dog. It’s still the perfect spot to let the kids run and snack! My favorite thing to do with my children is be in the kitchen. They absolutely love helping me cook and they are way more apt to eat what they help make!
When I’m not buying yet another pair of sneakers for my boys at New Balance, I love shopping at Caren Forbes for myself. I can always find the perfect outfit or accessory in her small, inviting boutique.
My favorite events in New Canaan are the family centered ones. The May Fair’s strawberry shortcake is a tradition in my house and the Nature Center’s Fall Fair tops the list as well with it’s pony rides, fall food, and, a favorite in our house, rides on Old Faithful! They’re definitely a couple of the many town events that show New Canaan’s sense of small-town community.
My passion is my local family photography business. Being a mom myself, I know the importance of capturing the moments that make a family unique. I love catching families in their element, unposed. A silly face between siblings, a look a mother gives, or a simple laugh between family members. These are the moments worth remembering, the ones you want to last forever, the ones that make your family one of a kind!
