The SoNo Collection, a modern boutique shopping center with an emphasis on art and community gathering, recently opened in Norwalk, CT! We’re here to help you get acquainted with the 700,000 sq. ft anchored by Nordstrom and Bloomingdales.
It features 87,000 sq. ft of public realm space such as the Magnificent Room and The SoNo Garden, used for events, activities and co-working. The retail destination also features interactive art installations, vibrant murals and modern sculptures, curated by handpicked artists including renowned artist Jen Lewin, visual innovator Brian Henry and Chicago-based sculptor Matthew Hoffman.
The SoNo Collection is 90% leased and tenants will open their doors through the New Year and into the first quarter of 2020. Beginning on November 22, The SoNo Collection will unveil the first to portfolio holiday experience merging modern and traditional aesthetics to bring the community an interactive experience for all ages. Activations include a Whispering Tree and Holiday Bell Grove located throughout the property, providing sound and sensory experiences. Additionally, Santa will also be making his debut at various locations throughout The SoNo Collection rather than staying in one static location. Shoppers are encouraged to take pictures free of charge.
Fun Facts:
- The SoNo Collection is estimated to add 2,500 fulltime, permanent jobs to the Norwalk Community.
- Brookfield Properties chose Fairfield County for The SoNo Collection as there was a hole in the marketplace, and created a dining, entertainment and community focused atmosphere that didn’t otherwise exist in southern Connecticut.
The SoNo Collection was designed in response to the way consumers shop in the 21st century, going beyond traditional apparel.
