2D Animation Workshop with “The Comic Tree” @Darien Arts Center Visual

Description
Join instructor Phil Lohmeyer of TheComicTree.com and let’s draw characters, create settings and animate short stories. We’ll start by drawing a storyboard with a beginning, middle, and end. Comic strip concepts and sequential storytelling will be explored, prior to animating in 2D with Stop Motion Studio using Cut Paper and Whiteboards. Finally we’ll edit our clips with iMovie, adding narration and foley audio with Garageband. Breakdown:

DAY 1, 3/3/24:
-Brainstorm characters/settings/props at the start of Day 1
-Begin drawing & animating these at the end of Day 1
DAY 2, 3/10/24:
-Finish drawing & animating at the start of Day 2
-Import clips & record audio at the end of Day 2
