Come try Irish Dance this fall at the world renowned Harney Pender Keady Academy of Irish Dance! Conveniently located in Springdale, near the Darien and New Canaan Borders (as well as locations in Rye, NY & Walpole, MA), HPK has attracted dancers from all over the region for more than 20 years.

Jumpin’ Jams classes are an exploration of rhythm, melody and movement and are sure to get even the smallest kids moving, singing, clapping, dancing, and of course JUMPIN’!
Classes were created for babies through preschoolers, but made for you to experience the joy of music with your child in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Fall semester runs September 6 – November 19 and spots are filling up quickly! Fall classes will be both indoors and outdoors depending on the weather, except for Wednesday mornings at the Darien YWCA.
If the class you’re looking for is full, it’s not a problem! Just add your name to the waiting list and if we’re outside we can always add more friends! Classes are held in New Canaan, Darien, Rowayton and Greenwich.

MARITIME ROWING CLUB
Learn to row at Maritime Rowing! The Fall Under 14 program at Maritime Rowing Club helps rowers improve in all aspects of rowing including fitness, strength, flexibility, mental toughness, and discipline. Using facilities both on and off the water, MRC works to develop proper rowing technique, good boat handling skills, and water safety.

NEW CANAAN MOUNTED TROOP (NCMT)
New Canaan Mounted Troop (NCMT) is a 501(C)(3) youth development and therapeutic equestrian center located in New Canaan, Connecticut. NCMT operates a comprehensive horsemanship program for children ages 7-17 years (“Troopers”) and a therapeutic program (“Super Troopers”) for children and adults with special needs.
In addition, we offer an equine care program called “Little Troopers” for children ages 4-7. All programs offer a curriculum structured to familiarize students with the horses, facility, and routines. Troopers learn responsibility and leadership through the vehicle of a horse and gain experiences that take them through life. Students learn the fundamentals of barn safety, equine care, and teamwork. Our horses and ponies partner with students to learn the foundation of hunt seat riding. The Super Troopers program provides equine assisted therapeutic activities for children and adults with intellectual, emotional, developmental, cognitive, and physical disabilities within the local community.
All students and volunteers walk through our barn doors with a love for horses and leave with so much more!

The New Canaan YMCA offers a variety of activities for kids and teens to come together and become happier and healthier this fall!
Preschool and school-age kids can stay active through sports including backyard sports, basketball, golf, and soccer. School-age kids and teens can develop and maintain healthy lifestyles at the Y through youth strength training, total youth conditioning, and youth yoga this fall. Recreational opportunities where kids and teens build confidence and independence while having fun include adventure club, cooking community, teen hiking club, and weekend nights at the Y including Youth @ the Y and Middle School Night events.
Kids just learning how to swim or those who are looking to challenge themselves in the water can sign up for our swim lessons program or try out for one of the Y’s three competitive aquatics teams: Aquianas artistic swimming, Caimans swim team, and Whirlwind diving.
