Academy of Irish Dance. The studio owners are champion competitors and international tour dancers, formerly of Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. THE NEW CANAAN YMCA
The New Canaan YMCA offers a variety of activities for kids and teens to come together and become happier and healthier this fall! Preschoolers can have fun and make friends at new Bouncing Bears and recreational programs, including STEM, a space explorers class, and storybook art. In addition to these new programs, favorites return, including backyard sports, creative minds, book and bounce, and yoga. School-age kids and teens can have fun and make friends at the Y’s new programs, including master builders, paint and smoothies, and the elite eight sports club, as well as yoga, preseason basketball clinics, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, and the Y’s youth basketball league (Y-Ball). Kids just learning how to swim or those who are looking to challenge themselves in the water can sign up for our swim lessons program, a stroke refinement class, or schedule an evaluation for the Y’s Caimans swim and Whirlwind diving teams. Since 2018, NEVBC has been training young athletes to become elite volleyball players, guided by a coaching staff that includes many decorated and former professional players.
