Bring your rods and some bait! Kids will try to catch the biggest and best trout during the annual fishing derby at Mill Pond in April. A secret stocking of the pond with plenty of trout will take place ahead of Derby Day. Children ages 15 and younger (ages 10 and younger must be accompanied by an adult) will compete for special prizes awarded in several categories including the first boy and first girl to catch a fish and the largest fish caught. This event is sponsored by the New Canaan Recreation Department with assistance from the Department of Public Works and local merchants. SOME bait will be supplied.
