Dr. Beth Rosenberg is a pediatrician and a mom, who lives in Darien with her husband, Daniel, and their 3 year old daughter, Lily. Born and raised in South Florida, Dr. Rosenberg received an undergraduate degree from Duke University and a Master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. After graduate school, she worked as both a healthcare consultant and policy advisor on Capitol Hill. While Dr. Rosenberg enjoyed her career working on healthcare policy, she decided to follow her passion to become a doctor and returned to South Florida to attend the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Rosenberg completed her pediatric residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell, and worked as a pediatrician for many years at Tribeca Pediatrics in NYC prior to moving to Darien.
Dr. Rosenberg says:
As a mom myself, I try to treat each patient like my own daughter. I believe in medicine, like in life, most things are not black or white, but exist in a grey area. As parents you are going to hear a lot of different opinions about what is right for your child – from your friends, your parents, your in-laws, random people on the playground, even from different doctors – but if you do what feels right to you, it’s pretty hard to go wrong. Although traditionally trained, I have experience in integrative and holistic medicine, and am typically open to alternative treatments when medically appropriate. Just like other parents, I’ve been through sleep training and teething and toilet training. We’ve had our adventures, including a trip to Italy when Lily was 8 months old where none of our luggage made it off the plane – no car seat, no stroller, no formula, no clothes, no diapers (and yet still, one of the best trips we’ve ever taken!). And these experiences help guide my advice as I talk with my patients.
I’ve been privileged to take care of thousands of kids and love seeing them grow from babies to toddlers to school-aged and to adolescents. As most parents know, none of us are perfect! We try our best to make our kids happy and healthy, independent and kind, generous and strong, and I could go on and on. As a pediatrician, I hope to be a partner with you in building a healthy and solid foundation from which your child can develop into their individual potential.
Dr. Beth Rosenberg has practiced at Riverside Pediatrics since January 2017.
