Where are you from originally?
I was born in Greenwich and lived in Greenwich, Stamford and New Canaan and even lived in Los Angeles for 6 years as a kid!
How long have you lived in New Canaan?
We lived in Boston for years after college and then moved to New Canaan 5 years ago.
How many kids and their age(s)?
I have two boys, Jack (7) and William (2.5)
What is your local go-to store for children’s clothes? Shoes? Furniture?
My older son Jack likes to shop at Bob’s Sports and Athletic Shoe Factory for sporty New Canaan clothing. He also likes Vineyard Vines in town. I like Restoration Hardware Baby & Child on Greenwich Avenue for kids furniture.
What are your favorite events in New Canaan?
I love the events in town organized by The Chamber of Commerce. The Halloween Parade and The Holiday Stroll are always a great time and make you realize what a nice town we live in.
What are your favorite restaurants in New Canaan?
I think we have so many great restaurants in town and try to frequent them often! I love Farmer’s Table, South End, and Sole etc. I have a favorite dish at so many restaurants in town. I love to try new spots when they open and we have found ourselves going to the new Gates lately and they don’t seem to mind my 2 year old “exploring” the whole time we are there, I love their “Supreme Bowl”.
What is your favorite kid-friendly recipe?
I am not the greatest cook! My husband loves to cook and even though the boys are picky eaters, he will make them homemade chicken tenders which are a big hit. He uses homemade bread crumbs and bakes them and serves with ketchup.
Favorite hobbies?
I love to work on things around my house, either a Do-It-Yourself project or choosing paints and fabrics to brighten up a room.
