My name is Sherri North. I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area & I have lived in New Canaan for a little over 4 years now.
I have a wonderful husband, Michael, from Sydney, Australia & 2 very energetic kids. My oldest child is a girl named Isabella, who is 5 years old, and is in Kindergarten at East school. I also have a son, Thomas, who is almost 4 and attends Community Preschool.
New Canaan is a great family community & we love to take advantage of all the holiday events throughout the year. Some of these would include the Halloween parade where the kids can dress up, the holiday stroll where they can meet & take pictures with Santa, the May Fair where there are rides & activities for all ages and the 4th of July fireworks at Waveny.
Sole & Baldanza are my two go to restaurants in New Canaan. They never disappoint and are always delicious.
Sole is a great place for a ladies lunch, date night & even taking the kids for a meal out. My kids love the pizza there & I love the halibut & fresh soups.
Baldanza is great for lunch, but I love to go there in the morning after my workouts for their delicious coffee.
One thing people may not know about me is I teach Pilates. I’ve taught in New York City & in Sydney and I’ve recently started teaching at Halo. It’s something I’m very passionate about & feel it benefits everyone. If you are interested in a class please email me: [email protected]
One group that I am involved with that truly is an amazing organization is STAR.
STAR is a not–for-profit organization serving individuals of all ages who have developmental disabilities, as well as providing support services to their families. There is a very inspirational lunch on April 6th, at Woodway country club, to help benefit STAR. This years speaker will be Jen Bricker, an American acrobat and aerialist born without legs. She is the sister of gymnast Dominique Moceanu. For more information on this event & the STAR organization please visit their website:http://www.starct.org
