BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
December 15, 2018 8:00 am – 12:30 pm
The New Canaan Recreation Department made a special request to the North Pole and Santa will be making a special appearance for kids at Waveny House on Saturday, December 15, 2018
A long-time popular event open to New Canaan residents ages 1-10, (a parent must be present) everyone will enjoy breakfast treats, juice, coffee and tea, donuts, and bagels before meeting with Santa. Christmas props and decorations will be on display for parents to stage their fun holiday pictures. Parents make sure to bring your digital camera for special pictures of your child with Santa. In addition, all children will go home with a fun filled goodie bag. We will again be taking toy donations for Toys for Tots, a national organization distributing toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the New Canaan community. A shiny new unwrapped toy can be dropped off as you enter Waveny House on the day of the event.
Separate group seating, open to New Canaan residents only, will be available at 8:00; 9:30; 11:00 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. and space is strictly limited to 120 per seating. The admission is $5 per person by advance reservation only. Register early to secure your seating for the event at the Recreation Department or use the online website. Due to the popularity of the event, only pre-registered individuals will be admitted to the event. RESERVATIONS BEGIN NOVEMBER 1st

NEW YEAR’S EVE FAMILY FUN NIGHT
December 31, 2018 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
A new special event creating a special moment for your family ($18 per person, seating is limited)
Children and Parents
Live Disc Jockey playing your favorite tunes for dancing and dance activities, door prizes, refreshments, and a buffet dinner will be served. Countdown to the New Year 2018 starts at 6:59 pm (New Years will be observed at 7:00 pm), noisemakers and party favors will be distributed, sparkling cider toast to the New Year 2018. Parents should bring their camera to record the fun. Don’t stop the festivities….Parents- after you get the kids safely home, greet the babysitter and go out to enjoy your own New Year’s celebration. Registration for the event will start November 1 at the Recreation Department Office or use the on-line registration system. The event is open to New Canaan residents only.
