What’s the perfect remedy for cabin fever? A PJ party at Stepping Stones! Have the kids throw on some cozy pajamas and head over to Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk for a Storybook Pajama Party on Saturday, January 13th from 4 to 8 pm. The whole family will be entertained by everyone’s favorite funny friends, Gerald the Elephant and Piggie in We Are in a Book!
Families can enjoy an evening at the museum and a compelling reading of the tale in front of a large screen showing the pages in the book for all to see. After the story, the reading is brought to life when children can actually meet the storybook characters! Hands-on themed activities for children of every age take place throughout the museum.
“Storybook Pajama Parties promote literacy and positive family interaction in a fun environment that celebrates learning,” said Rhonda Kiest, President and CEO of Stepping Stones. “We are thrilled to now offer storybook readings in Spanish!”
We Are in a Book! by Mo Willems is the thirteenth book in the extremely popular Elephant and Piggie series. When Piggie realizes that she and Gerald are in a book, she decides to make the reader say a funny word out loud, Gerald is tickled pink, but when Gerald comes to understand the danger of the book ending, Piggie comes up with a solution to get the reader to keep reading.
Children and parents will laugh out loud at this hilariously inventive tale, enhanced by animation and sound on the museum’s 35 x12 foot Multimedia Gallery screen. Story times are:

The Stepping Stones Cafe will be open during the event and serving up some specially-themed items for purchase.The museum will close at 3:00 pm in preparation for this special event.
Storybook Pajama Party tickets are Members $10, Non-members $15/person and children under the age of one will be admitted for free. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Space is limited.
