Saturday, April 21, 2018 at The Country Club of Darien
OPUS for Person-to-Person announced today that its annual spring fundraiser will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Country Club of Darien. This year’s event, the Masquerade Ball, will invite guests to step into a night of mystery and intrigue at this black and white formal affair while supporting Darien-based Person-to-Person (P2P). Proceeds will be earmarked for P2P’s programs that directly benefit children, including Campership scholarships for children and youth in need, grants to families, the Holiday Toy Store, Baby Basics layettes for new mothers, and Scholarships for college.
Guests may don masks while they sip on sumptuous spirits, enjoy a gourmet sit-down dinner under the soft glow of candlelight, and unwind on the dance floor with the acclaimed King of Hearts live band. Along with the silent auction and raffle, guests won’t want to miss the live auction hosted by the ever-entertaining CK Swett. Auction items will include luxury vacation getaways, VIP sports packages, spa pampering, group adventures, and other fine goods. Guests may continue dancing into the wee hours of the morning as this year’s spring benefit boasts an extended hours after-party—which is included in the standard ticket price.
Board Liaison Shannon Doherty with Co-Chairs Alexandra deVilliers, Rachel Gillin, Adare Kiely, Libet Koncz, Paige Scardigli and Stephanie Trotta, as well as the entire Masquerade Ball committee have been hard at work since last summer planning an extraordinary evening. The spring gala is OPUS’ largest fundraiser of the year, and this event promises to be one of the most memorable social events this spring.
