Meet Ta’Tiyana Houser, the owner of DTM Day Spa based in Norwalk. She is a licensed nurse, lash technician and esthetician, who offers a range of services like facials, body treatment and touch therapy. In addition to Norwalk, Ta’Tiyana has a DTM pop-up location in Stamford.
Please describe DTM Day Spa and the types of services you offer.
DTM Day Spa, or Dedicated to Mom Day Spa, is a spa concept inspired by my mom. We provide a customized spa experience for your skin through the use of professional products, like Dermalogica and special hand movement techniques to promote circulation, healing, rejuvenation and relaxation of the skin, body and soul.
Can you tell us more about your wellness journey and what prompted you to start DTM?
My mother was the inspiration behind my business. When she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 for the second time, she didn’t feel herself and I wanted to find a way to change that. I would pay stylists and beauticians to come to the house and make her feel beautiful again. The concept behind DTM DAY SPA was born to provide quality skin care to women like my mother and beyond! I lost my mom on July 22, 2021, and I dedicate the quality of care I provided for her to all my clients.
