Dr. Mike, can you tell us more about your orthodontic journey and what prompted you to open your practice?
I had braces myself and can see just what it did to boost my confidence and how it changed my smile. From that point on I knew I wanted to be an orthodontist; I was 15 years old. I completed my post-doctoral training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. I am also a Board-Certified Orthodontist by the American Board of Orthodontics-ABO.
How long have you run Orthodontic Associates of NC?
After practicing for 20 years, I decided to open a practice and settled here in the beautiful town of New Canaan. Orthodontic Associates of New Canaan was born on October 2022.
What are the benefits of early treatment at your practice?
Early treatment helps alleviate problems early on in hopes to avoid extraction of permanent teeth.
Can you share more about your philosophy with orthodontic treatments?
By having treatment early on in life, I feel, if a child feels their smile is beautiful that it will help boost their self-confidence.
What’s your favorite aspect about being part of the community?
I really enjoy meeting and getting to know the families that walk through my door. Not to mention New Canaan has some great restaurants, and I can’t wait to try them all.

As with any business, word of mouth is the best way to support what I do here at Orthodontic Associates of New Canaan. If I’ve provided a great smile and a wonderful experience, I would love for you to let others in the community know.
Anything to add?
I enjoy learning about current techniques, new technologies, and the newest information and methods from around the country by attending conferences. During my time away from the office, I enjoy traveling, skiing, and especially trying new restaurants.
