The Spring Hill Arts Gathering (SHAG), an outdoor festival and cultural event, will take place over two weekends this summer: July 29 – August 1 and August 6 – 8. Located in Washington, CT, SHAG brings an amazing lineup of stars from stage, studio, and screen to the area this summer! The Festival will be presented on the grounds of the Spring Hill Vineyards (292 Bee Brook Rd, New Preston, CT), a gorgeous expansive site complete with art installations, a modern air-conditioned barn; an outdoor amphitheater, modern restrooms, and more.
Looking for a date night or Mom’s Night Out? SHAG’s impressive line-up features performances from renowned Broadway actors Ariana DeBose and Alex Newell; singer-songwriters KT Tunstall and Sophie B. Hawkins; a talk by Graydon Carter; and performances by Matthew Whitaker, Pilobolus, and Vinson Fraley, Jr, to name a few.
SHAG also offers a ton of family-friendly offerings over the two weekends, including a Drag Queen Story Hour on July 31 and performances by Connecticut Ballet (August 1) and Brooklyn Raga Massive (August 7). The Festival culminates in a FREE Washington town party, from noon-10pm on August 8, which will feature fun activities for the whole family; a celebration of local heroes; an old-fashioned barn dance; as well as performances, a special exhibition, and even a Shake Shack food truck which will be selling refreshments throughout the day.
