KING SCHOOL SUMMER INSTITUTE
Dates: Sessions June 9 – August 18 // Ages: Kindergarten – Grade 12

Make this summer a time for discovering new skills, exploring new subjects, and having fun. Register your child today for Summer Institute (SI) where students Kindergarten – Grade 12 are taught in small classes by King’s outstanding teachers and coaches.

Middle and high school classes allow students to pursue their academic passions and accelerate their progress in the next academic year.
Fun Camp allows younger students to grow and learn while keeping in mind each age group’s physical, emotional, and intellectual needs.

Founded in 1962, Long Ridge Camp is proud to be celebrating 60+ years of special summers provided by the Alswanger family and our dedicated staff! Long Ridge Camp in Stamford is Fairfield County’s Leading Summer Day Camp, serving a traditional day camp experience to campers from Fairfield & Westchester Counties ages 3 to 14.

Campers are offered a wide variety of activities that add up to a well balanced experience that includes Sports, Arts, Swimming, & Adventure! CAMP WHITBY
AGES: 18 Months – Age 5

Camp Whitby combines exploration, learning, and, most importantly, fun into an extraordinary camp experience. This program is intentionally designed with programs and activities for children Age 4 – Grades 1-4. Camp Whitby is a 7-week day camp. We also offer 2-week Musical Theatre Workshops for middle schoolers in grades 5-8 led by Angela DeCicco, professional actor, singer and Whitby’s performing arts teacher.

What makes Camp Whitby cooler than other camps? Our activity instructors (many of whom are longtime Whitby after-school program partners) are pros with tons of experience working with kids. Camp Whitby offers campers the opportunity to learn and experience a variety of activities with themes centered around STEM, art, sports, music, and dance, plus surprise activities each week.

Summer Riding Program for beginners, younger riders,
and advanced riders.
        • Ages 6-12 Monday through Friday: 9am-1pm or 9am – 3pm.
        • Five year old program 9am – 12pm.
        • Independent riding program – Open to beginners’ to advanced riders 12 – 18 years of age. Own a horse for a week with a fully customized lesson program
        • Two riding instructors are in the ring with all beginner groups. All riders get one-on-one mounted time everyday. At the end of each week, we have a horse showoff day for family and friends where everyone leaves with a feeling of accomplishment. This is a great opportunity for the children to show friends and family what they have learned.

Discover the Perfect Blend of Dance, Gymnastics, and Swimming

Introduce your child to the captivating world of artistic swimming this summer! Our two-week sessions are designed to introduce kids to the amazing athleticism, grace, and teamwork that this Olympic sport requires — all while having fun. Campers must be able to confidently swim 25 yards in deep water. Connecticut Boat Club (CBC) is a nonprofit, youth all girls team, founded by our Head Coach in 2010. Priding ourselves on our 13 USRowing National Championship wins the team is composed of student athletes from diverse backgrounds and hometowns. Truthfully, about 80% of our athletes develop such a strong passion for rowing that it has become a major factor in choosing a college. Our alumnae have joined some of the best Division I, II and III collegiate programs in the country. With our mission of fostering an environment centered around the student athletes, we hold our girls accountable for having a great attitude and an appetite to learn both from each other and from their coaches. Rowing is a consummate team sport where making a boat go fast requires everyone working together and pushing hard. As a result, positive attitude, grit and commitment are essential.
