Room for Paws Pet Resort is thrilled to announce an exciting new comprehensive all-day training and socialization program!

Life Skills and Learning Experiences

The program is designed to help your puppy grow into a well-rounded, confident dog. Puppies are introduced to various environments, textures, and sounds, helping them become familiar (and less reactive) to common noises such as blow dryers, thunderstorms, and more.

Your pup will have field trips throughout the facility, including trips to our professional grooming spa where puppies can get acclimated to the sights, sounds, and sensations that come with a grooming appointment, helping to make future grooming experiences smooth and stress-free.

Training

Trainer-led sessions are designed to provide an optimum balance between play and learning, ensuring your puppy develops into a happy, well-behaved dog. We’ll start by covering all the essential skills your puppy needs, such as:

• Obedience commands: Starting with basics such as sit, stay, leave it, wait, recall, and more.
• Name recognition: Helping your pup learn to respond to their own name and come when called.
• Intro to leash walking: Teaching puppies to walk nicely on a leash without tugging or lunging.
• Nipping prevention: Ensuring puppies learn appropriate bite inhibition with humans and other pups.
• Crate and potty training: Ensuring they have proper potty behaviors, including going to the bathroom outside in our pristine, K9Grass™-covered fenced in yards.
• Appropriate playing: Encouraging healthy play habits with both humans and other dogs.
