The Thankful Pumpkin | New Canaan & Darien Moms
Have you heard of the Thankful Pumpkin? I just found out about through Newport Mesa Moms and can’t wait to start ours! It’s a super easy, meaningful and mindful craft thought up by Amy Latta of Amy Latta Creations. Not only will it remind you and your family to be thankful, but it will also put your pumpkins to great display use after Halloween! All you need is a permanent marker (which I will have to re-purchase after throwing all of ours out after an unauthorized mural in our basement), a pumpkin, a little introspection, and a grateful ❤️.
Instructions:
🍂 Talk about what you’re thankful for as a family every night.  Dinner is a great time for this.
🍂 Write down at least one thing each member of your family is thankful for on the pumpkin.  You can even make it extra colorful by assigning each person a different color marker.
🍂 Take pictures of the progress.  This will be super fun to compare year after year.
🍂 Display your pumpkin as a centerpiece for Thanksgiving!

Start early November and continue straight through Thanksgiving, adding to your pumpkin every day. This will be a family tradition your kids are sure to remember and carry on.
