MARITIME ROWING CLUB
MRC’s Fall Youth Learn-to-Row/Development programs are designed to help young rowers improve in all aspects of rowing including fitness, strength, flexibility, mental toughness and discipline. Using our facilities both on and off the water, we work to develop proper rowing technique, good boat handling skills and water safety.
Programs run 8/31 – 10/23. Session 1: Monday/Wednesday/Friday/5:30-7:00 PM // Session 2: Tuesday/Thursday/5:30-7:00 PM Saturday/12:00-1:30 PM.
Fall Pre-Season is another excellent way for athletes of all levels and abilities to get ready for Fall Youth Rowing. This program will run August 8/23 – 8/27.
• Novice/JV/High Performance rowers will row from 3:00-5:00 PM

NEW CANAAN NATURE CENTER
This fall, we welcome NCPS students in grades K-2 to join us to explore the forests, fields, and ponds of the New Canaan Nature Center during our brand new after school program!
Create hypotheses, conduct experiments, and get ready for some awesome hands-on collaborative learning. Delve into fun and engaging weekly themes while exploring our natural world. Who knows what we will discover?!
Program will include: Bus transportation from the 3 NCPS elementary schools, snack, outdoor free play, sustainable STEAM activities, and homework time.
Program Dates: August 30 – December 23, 2021

NEW CANAAN YMCA ADVENTURE GUIDES PROGRAM
The popular Adventure Guides program strengthens bonds between fathers and children in grades K-4 and creates lasting memories and family friendships. Organized into “communities” based on elementary school, group activities are led by volunteer fathers with the guidance of Y staff and include hiking, crafts, games, plus special events and weekend adventure outings. The upcoming fall outing takes place at Camp Mohawk October 2-3 and features a traditional camping experience. Join the fun and begin making special memories that will last forever!
