FAMILY FUN! DCT is fun for the whole family. We have an entire season of top notch Theatre for Youth Audiences productions for children but they are entertaining for people of all ages. They are the perfect mix of your favorite fairy tales, slapstick comedy, upbeat dancing, fabulous costumes and stage magic- something for everyone. So grab a table and bring the whole family.
UNIQUE! All Theatre for Youth Audiences shows are original takes on your favorite classic stories! From Dorothy finding herself in an 80s inspired OZ to the hilarious “true” story behind the origin of Santa Claus, we always put in our DCT twist. Our style is inspired by the classic Pantomime, popular children’s entertainment in Britain, but we update it by combining modern jokes and music with the fairy tales you know and love! Think Shrek-style!
BYO FOOD & DRINK! Picky eaters? Sick of spending so much when you take your kids to a movie or event? At DCT, we have BYO food and drink so you can bring your favorites. Pack your own picnic, order pizza, bring your kids birthday cake and celebrate them (the cast will even sing Happy Birthday)! Mom and Dad want to enjoy an adult beverage? Those are welcome too! Our seating is cabaret style, so you have a table to spread out, enjoy your refreshments, and make a party of it. We also have a concession stand with the best popcorn around!
GREAT MUSIC! Songs that both parents and children know and love! We love to surprise you by having our characters sing and dance to radio hits, rock and roll classics, pop anthems, and Top 40s ballads. You will recognize the songs and find yourself singing and bopping along. The casts are really talented singers, dancers, and actors – you will be impressed! And you’ll have a laugh at how the songs get incorporated into the stories.
KID FRIENDLY! Shows meant for kids – no really! Kids are actually encouraged to sing and dance along, respond to the actors on stage and feel a part of the show! Kids can’t sit still? No worries, our cabaret style seating is comfortable so kids don’t have to sit in stuffy theater rows or movie seats. They can share the table with their friends, stand up and wiggle to the music, and P.S. sometimes even get to see the characters up close as they come through the audience!

Call the sitter and come down to DCT. We have a full season of amazing concerts and mainstage musical theater at night.
