Barbara Gersh
During her teaching years in NYC, Barbara Gersh taught Exceptionally Gifted Students in a select program for students in grades one through four for over fifteen years. Upon her retirement from NYC, she taught at Old Greenwich Elementary School in Greenwich Connecticut for twelve years.
After her retirement, Barbara began tutoring students in reading, writing, and math. She is certified in grades one through six in both New York and Connecticut. She loves teaching and continues to teach until this day.
During the pandemic, she was able to connect with students virtually, as well as in person. This year, she was totally responsible for the education of one second grade NYC student. We successfully covered the entire curriculum and she has now been admitted to an elite private school. She has made a smooth transition to in person learning and has the confidence to succeed going forward.
