Your One Stop Shop for All things "Elf on the Shelf"! No kids allowed ;)

Ready or not, here come Foddle, Criddle, and Clyde, or if you live in my house, “Foinky Blaster” (don’t ask). The excitement for the return of Foinky Blaster is high and I am getting the sweats in anticipation of all that comes along with him. Creative hiding spots, clever notes, and remembering to move him on the daily! It’s overwhelming at times, so I’ve decided to do the work up front and share it with all of you! Welcome to your one-stop-shop for “The Elf on the Shelf”, a truly magical Christmas tradition…if you have the right tools 🙂

Step 1: Buy the Elf! You can use any old elf, but if you need the book as well, you can purchase the set (4 elves available). There are some great accessory kits out there along with the official movie too!

Step 3: Get Creative! There were so many hilarious posts over instagram last year that I decided to run an official 2017 Elf on the Shelf Challenge! Post your best creative ideas to #ncmoms_elfchallenge and be entered to win something amazing! Prize will be announced next week and the winner will be announced on Christmas Eve. Most hilarious submission will win. Enter as many times as you’d like. Must live in New Canaan to play. Winner will be selected from New Canaan Moms Instagram followers. And finally, Step 4: Set Your Alarm! Thank you Andrea R. for the awesome tip you posted last year. Set your iphone alarm and label, “MOVE THE ELF! every night. Perhaps some “chimes” will make the daily reminder a little more encouraging? Good luck!
